Hi,
my name is Will Doran and I leads the Ranch Yoga Retreats and teach
the yoga classes. I am delighted to invite you to share the
incredible space that my family's ranch offers for practicing
yoga. The beauty and peaceful setting is truly awesome!
I am a certified yoga instructor
strongly influenced by the Anusara style of yoga. Its emphasis is
upon flowing with grace and joyfully aligning your spiritual nature with
the physical form. I teach yoga as a way to facilitate inner calm,
self awareness and strength. The poses become metaphors for life,
as well as tools for health and vitality. Developing a light heart and a
sense of fun and exploration is paramount to my teaching.
My teaching style
is such that all levels of students find the classes rewarding. I
work to create a sacred space for practice through emphasizing breath
and correct body alignment. Starting with gentle opening
exercises, twists and stretches, I facilitate creating harmony with
body, mind and spirit by linking movement with breath. We then
progress to create opening and flexibility and move on to more
invigorating poses. Because yoga is a
very individualized practice I teach in such a way that everyone,
regarding of their physical background, is able to have a rewarding
experience.

Pranayama
(breathing exercises) and meditation are integrated into each class.
Morning classes are more vigorous while evening classes are more
restorative. Practicing yoga in the out of doors on the
"yoga deck" surrounded by the sounds of nature and the awesome scenic views
will greatly enhance your practice. |
A
great deal of flexibility will be used in choosing the time schedules
for classes, meal times and locations. I strongly believe in
going with the flow and doing what works for the moment and the group.
Besides, weather conditions and energy levels of the group will
determine what works best. This is your vacation so as we plan the
details you will have a say in what works best for you!
